Upper Darby, Pennsylvania is a borough located just outside of the city of Philadelphia.
Upper Darby is the quintessential suburb, a collection of houses built in the 1950s and ’60s that remain firmly rooted in the suburban past. Despite the fact that Upper Darby is home to a small city park, a community center, and the headquarters of several large corporations, Upper Darby still seems like a suburban enclave.
Despite the fact that Upper Darby is home to a small city park, a community center, and the headquarters of several large corporations, Upper Darby still seems like a suburban enclave. With its tree-lined streets and quiet residential neighborhoods, Upper Darby feels very much like the suburbs of the ’50s and ’60s. Many of the buildings here are immaculately maintained and feature elaborate decorative details, such as brick and stucco walls, faux wrought-iron balconies, and even faux-stained glass windows.
Upper Darby is home to a variety of restaurants and bars, but the area is best known for its Italian food. Upper Darby’s restaurants are not only great places to eat, but they also offer a great opportunity to explore Upper Darby.
